This farmstead is situated on the SE flank of Cnoc Dubh and comprises the faced-rubble footings of two buildings and a hut lying at the N end of an oval enclosure. One of the buildings (ROG95 298) has been a byre and measures 12.7m from NE to SW by 3.1m transversely within footings 0.6m in thickness and 0.4m in height. The other building (ROG95 297) measures 8.9m by 2.8m internally, while the hut (ROG95 296) is only 3.8m by 2.3m internally. Two of the buildings (ROG95 296, 298) are depicted as roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1876, sheet xcvi), together with a further two buildings to the NW and SE of which no traces now remain. All three buildings are shown as roofed on the 2nd edition map (Sutherland 1907, sheet xcvi).
The enclosure measures about 230m from NW to SE by 140m transversely (ROG95 974) surrounding both rough and cleared ground, with faint traces of ridging visible in the latter, measuring about 4m between furrows. The 1st and 2nd edition maps show changes in the layout of the enclosure which is as depicted on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1970).
