Human Remains found here AD. 1848 (NAT)
OS 6" map, Inverness-shire, 2nd ed., (1906)

A human skull and bones were dug up, in 1848, by roadmen, from a gravel pit. There was no coffin of any sort.
Name Book 1870.

No further information could be ascertained from local enquiry, and the skull and bones could not be located.
Visited by OS (R D) 11 August 1964.
