There is no local knowledge of the tradition attached to this site, which is a natural small hollow in an arable field.

A hollow which is traditionally the site where rival packmen slew each other and are buried; it is locally well-known as the Merchants' Graves or Hollow; The Gaelic means Merchants' Hollow.
