ELDBERG, fish carrier, bound Reykavik. Port of Registry = Reykavik, Iceland.
Lost 6/11/1948, 8.30pm, distance from light 3/4 mile at entrance to Port Min. South east light breeze, good visibility, slight westerley swell, unknown cause of loss. All saved. Cargo of fish value unknown. The vessel was towed off at 10am on 7/11/1948 by salvage tug ENFORCER. The ELDBERG appeared to be making water and when last seen was being towed stern first into Sound of Mull.
