This oval burnt mound, which is situated on the N bank of an unnamed burn to the SE of Pitfure East, measures 7.5m from NE to SW by 4m transversely and 0.4m in height. A burrow has exposed black soil, charcoal and cracked stone under about 0.3m of grey/brown soil, probably hillwash, which appears to have accumulated over the mound.
