Full Description

Levelled into a W-facing slope at about 1300ft. OD, is a circular hut platform measuring about 15.0m in diameter, with a well-defined back scarp and frontal built up. The hut is under deep heather, which obscures the position of the entrance. There is no trace of stonework around the perimeter.
The hut occurs near the S end of a contemporary field system marked by stone clearance heaps and traces of occasional lynchets. Boundaries of the fields are difficult to determine due to peat build up and deep heather and no measurements were taken.
A few isolated but probably contemporary clearance heaps occur on the hill shoulder about 150.0m to the E.
Hut surveyed at 1/10,000.
Visited by OS (A A) 24 February 1972.
