A substantial turf and stone dyke, lying mainly to the E of the Allt a' Mhuilinn, was noted during a pre-afforestation survey. It is thought to be the remains of the enclosure bank erected around the plantation (first depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1873, sheet 134). On the evidence of the boundary at the N end of the loch this dyke was capped by a post and wire fence.
