On the E bank of a burn on the SW-facing hillside above the township of Rhaoine (NC60NE 19.00), there is an oval burnt mound overgrown with bracken and heather and measuring 7.2m NE to SW by 4.6m transversely and standing 1m high. A possible trough is visible opening towards the burn. A turf was lifted from the top of the mound, revealing large quantities of charcoal and some fragments of burnt stone.
