Full Description

A peat-covered hut-circle (ROG95 380) is situated on the top of a ridge to the NE of the Torbreck Burn. It measures 7.4m in diameter within a stony bank spread to 2m in thickness and 0.2m in height. The bank is more substantial on either side of the entrance, which lies on the SE. There are three small cairns (ROG95 996, NC 6989 0725), measuring up to 3m in diameter and 0.2m in height, around the hut-circle. The ridge has been intensely burnt, probably resulting in the loss of some of the peat-cover, without which the hut-circle and small cairns may not have been visible.
