Full Description

The concrete Highland Byre was built for a pedigree fold of Highland Cattle. (Info from Mr Angus Robertson, Ardtornish Estate) It is labelled “Highland Byre” on a plan of Drainage at Ardtornish, 1909. (Ardtornish Estate Archives)
It is situated to the E of Ardtornish Estate Yard and SW of the Achranich Bridge (SMR NM 74NW0022).

Across the road to the SW, an M-roofed late Victorian concrete byre, its gables partly glazed under louvres.
