Full Description

In an area of cleared woodland on a S-facing slope is a circular stone-walled hut measuring c.15.0m between the centres of a wall spread to 2.5m all round. The mutilated entrance is in the SE arc. A lynchet joins the wall in the S. There are several stones within the hut probably due to the forestry activities. The hut occurs within a contemporary field system marked by stone clearance heaps and lynchets, denuded by the afforestation which has masked details of the fields.
Hut surveyed at 1/2500
Visited by OS (A A) 14 January 1972.
