NN 6174 9484

The building shown roofed here in 1870 contains the remains of an earlier cruck framed building on its N wall. The mortar bonded fireplace in the W gable and the S wall were added later. It is
possible that the N wall was added to an existing timber cruck frame that was originally turfwalled (see the buildings being constructed in the Highland Folk Park at Newtonmore).
