Full Description
A grass-covered possible hut-circle, later used as a sheep pen. Two large opposed gaps are present in the wall of the enclosure, roughly NW/SE. There has also been more recent stone clearance on the site, resulting in a clearance heap on the north-east side.
See sketch in Ass. Docs.
Information from Margaret Mackenzie, 25/8/97
This site was mentioned in a desk-based assessment carried out in November 2007 in advance of water main renewal works. A precautionary site visit was recommended to observe the open trench in this area. <1> In the event the trenching was carried out and filled in without the presence of an archaeologist, but a later visit confirmed that no remains had been affected. <2>
