Full Description

An iron axe, found on the farm of Moraytown in the parish of Dalcross, Inverness, in 1876, is in the possession of Mr Macdonald.
T Wallace 1900.

Enquiries at Morayston revealed that a Mr Macdonald died there 3 years ago but the axe is known to have been in the house until the heirs acquired the contents, and removed, it is believed, to the Far East. The axe does not appear to have been deposited in the Inverness Museum. Visited by OS (J L D) 24 April 1962.
