Full Description

A Royal Observer Corps structure, probably built between the 1960's and 1990's, 10 feet deep. In the event of a nuclear attack, the person/s stationed in the structures would plot the position of the explosion and try and estimate the power of the bomb, by observation. There are over 800 of these structures in Britain, including examples in the highlands at Achnasheen and a recently destroyed one at Dingwall.
Information from Mr R Keen, Dingwall, 08/2000.
