Full Description

Possibly a hand quern or a stone from a small horizontal mill. The stone was passed to the Inverness Museum.

The entry form at Inverness Museum records this object as '1 millstone, found along from drive at head of glen at Achmore. Burn at Achmore is possible site of old mill. Neolithic burial ground two fields down from house. Taken to Highland Archaeology Service on Friday 23 June 2000 by Dr Bartlett'. It was returned to the finder in March 2001. <2>
