Full Description

The remains of a saw mill are situated on the NE side of the River Rannoch , just to the NW of the 1851 Achranich bridge (SMR NM74NW0022). The mill was housed in a corrugated iron structure, which is now almost derelict. The machinery, some of which is still in situ, was driven by a small estate hydro scheme, using the water supply from the dam and reservoir at Craigbhea. (SMR NM74NW0027).
Field Verification Project (West Lochaber) - J Robertson, 03/2004
