Full Description
Recorded in Redfern, "20th Century fortifications in the UK" vol IV as being manned 15 Oct 1942 by 51 Brigade, 113 Regiment, 362 battery. Also had two 3.7 inch mobile guns and GL Mk II radar.

Ballon station of WWII. Water tower and hut bases and small concrete pier extant. A modern farm building has been built on one of the concrete bases. The main building has a new upper part and roof and is now used as a barn. Photo in J A Guy, 20th Century Defences, (report nos. 1, 8 & 11)
