'On the right bank you can see a shabby pillbox…' <1>

Brick and concrete rectangular WWII pillbox, poor condition. Photos in J A Guy, 20th Century Defences <2>

In the Defence of Britain database this described as a Type FW3/26 pillbox with five embrasures in the west and south walls only, with a doorway to the east. It was visited in 1989 and 1996 and noted to be badly weathered with the walls starting to deterioriate. <3>
