Full Description

WWII brick and concrete type 22 pillbox on the west side of the railway and A9 and south of Evanton. Constructed of brick and concrete it forms part of the defences for Evanton airfield. <1>

This pillbox was noted in ARCH's Evanton Wartime Remains project in 2013. The pillbox had a turf roof and survived at Sunfield. It was built to protect the wireless listening station. <3>
