Full Description
Corrugated structure with wooden framework and concrete base.
The building measures 9.6m by 7.1m and has a concrete platform at the SE end, probably for a gas tank. Associated with it are 2 wooden posts and a probable slipway at NC 87574 01384.
Local knowledge suggests the boathouse was used by an employee of the Duke of Sutherland, who lived in the vicinity.
Information supplied by J Aitken, Clyne Survey, 02/01/02.
J Aitken : 21/01/02.
Corrugated iron roofed & sided structure built around a wooden frame on a concrete base. Still upstanding but much of the corrugated sides have fallen off. Currently full of vehicle tyres. <1>
