Full Description

NH74NE 33 7581 4761.

At NH 7581 4761 overlooking a bend in the Rough Burn, is a cairn c. 7.0m in diameter and c 0.2m high covered with whins and young conifers. Six intermittent earthfast stones, probably part of a kerb occur around the S arc.
Surveyed at 1/2500
Visited by OS (A A) 28 January 1971.

Shortly after 1971 this area was forested and mature trees - thinned several years ago - now surround the site right up to the cairn. In April 2008, the site remained accessible and identifiable although the cairn is now less than 1m in height. Many of the stones are moss-covered and hidden by vegetation. <1>
