Full Description

It is situated nr the high water mark directly in front of the thatched house fo occupied by the late Duncan Mackenzie. At the base of the bowl shaped structure there is an air vent, presumably to feed the fire, that, I assume, dried the grain. This would placed on a dried skin at the top of the structure which would be built up beyond its present level. There is a better example of such abuilding at Fearnmore.. Corres & Photos Ian Mackenzie - HAW 8/2003
