Full Description
NG87NE 14 centred on 8600 7885
Three enclosures are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire 1881, sheet xlv). Two enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1969).
Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 23 April 1996.
A large enclosure was shown as entire in 1875 (this has previously been incorrectly described as surrounding a burial mound - MHG14061). Within the enclosure there is very slight evidence for structures at the NW end and perhaps on a low saddle in the centre. There is also a suggestion of cultivation ridges on the SE side and an internal division evident on the W side. <1>
