Full Description
Dun (NR) (rems of) OS 1:10,000 map, (1973)
Dun, Resipole: This dun stands 275m SW of Resipol, on the level summit of an isolated knoll situated immediately N of the road overlooking the N shore of Loch Sunart. Stone robbing has reduced the wall to little more than a band of rubble, up to 3m wide, which encloses an area measuring 22m by 13m. One stretch of outer facing-stones, however, survives to the S of a gap in the W side which probably represents the original entrance.
RCAHMS 1980.
The fragmentary remains of this pear-shaped dun are generally as described by the RCAHMS.
Visited by OS (J M) 3 July 1974.
