Full Description

NH63SE 82 6677 3237.

This building is set into the S side of a knoll to the NE of the public road running from Dunlichity Church to Brin. It measures 15.8m from ENE to WSW by 3.1m transversely within faced-rubble walls measuring 0.8m in thickness and standing up to 0.7m high. It is divided into two compartments, and a bedneuk, 2m square, projects from its SSE side. There may be a second building to the N, but this is almost totally overgrown with gorse. A building is shown here on H Morrison's 1849 plan of Drumbuie and Dalcrombie (SRO: RHP 2189). By the time of the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1874, sheet xxxi) it was roofless.
