------
Mound (possible hut circle).
Centre of rubble/brick and rubbish-filled interior of possible hut circle, or maybe just a large clearance cairn, situated on the level, grass meadow to the W of the existing access track to Ascoile and immediately to the S of the inhabited house. It would be an unusual location for a hut circle and it would be remarkable if it had survived the centuries of agriculture on this valuable area of cultivatable land. The round-topped, grass-covered walls are 2m thick and up to 1m high and the internal diameter is 5.5m, and there is a 2m wide entrance opening to 201 degrees, with a pair of parallel sidewalls extending out from the entrance for 2m. <1>
