Corn-drying kiln remains (possible).
Centre of 2m internal diameter, grass-covered bowl of a possible corn-drying kiln (see Plate 9), set at the base of a knoll and to the immediate W of the boundary of Feature 032 (above). The kiln is slightly conjectural, due to the lack of stone visible, however the setting is correct for this kind of feature, with its upper, bowl end embedded into the slope. The structure is 3.5m wide and 6m long, and the bowl is 0.5m deep. Two boulders are visible in the dividing grass-covered ‘wall’ between the bowl and the lower end of the flue. The lower, rectangular end has low, grass-covered mound walls, spread to 1m wide, and the long sides of the structure trend 001 degrees. <1>
