Full Description

Finds - Iron Slag & Charcoal.
Several pieces of iron slag and charcoal were discovered in molehills in this slightly hummocky grass-covered area enclosed by grass-covered mound walls of Features 032 (above) and 040 (below). Some of these fragments of slag are of the shiny, dense variety (including the largest piece from this locality measuring 4cm x 3cm x 2cm) and some of the amorphous, lighter type. <1>
