Full Description

Hut-circle (possible).
Centre of enigmatic, large hut circle, set on the edge of a short heather-covered plateau area at the foot of gently, W-sloping moorland hillside. The structure is raised above the existing access track, which is 3m to the W of its W wall. It measures 13m x 11m internally, with its long axis trending 013 degrees, and has a 3.5m wide entrance opening to 193 degrees flanked by low, parallel mound walls acting as lead-ins, extending from the main hut circle wall for 4m. All of the wall remains are very low, being no more than 0.3m high, and are spread to 2m wide. The location of the possible structure would be appropriate for the position of a hut circle, but there is no evidence for cultivation in its proximity.
