Full Description

Grouse Butt.
South-easternmost in the row of 9 disused grouse butts, trending NW in a line over the N spur of Cnoc a’Ghrianain and down its NW flank.

This quite degraded, circular butt is 3.5m in diameter, and is set on Cnoc a’Ghrianain’s NE-sloping heather-covered flank. Its peat turf wall rises to 1m and is 0.5m thick and has a thick covering of long grass and lichen growing richly on it. Its 1m wide entrance opens to 318 degrees. <1>
