Full Description

Clearance Cairn.
Dominant, 1.5m high and 2m diameter clearance cairn, appearing much larger due to bracken cover, has been incorporated into the later, linear boundary dyke of Feature 100 (above). Several other clearance cairns are visible on this grass and short heather-covered, E-sloping valleyside of Allt SmeĆ²rail. No trace of any associated settlement was discovered, but it is possible that it may be concealed within the dense pine plantation uphill and to the W. <1>
