Full Description

Linear Boundary Dyke, NC 84871 11327 to NC 84765 11361.
Bracken-covered peat turf dyke, constructed on the N side of a 1m deep and 1.5m wide ditch joining the ditch associated with Feature 115 (above). The dyke is 1m wide and 0.6m high, and trends uphill on a heather-covered, ESE-sloping hillside. 25m uphill from its E termination, the ditch is markedly less deep, having reverted to its natural burn form, where the vegetation cover is mainly grass. Stones are visible in the dyke’s construction at this location, and it continues uphill to a slight bend at 284829 911341 and on to its uphill end, where it peters out at 284765 911361. <1>
