Full Description

Bridge.
Remains of an old wooden footbridge of simple cross-member and slat construction, 1.5m wide x 1.5m across, crossing a small tributary burn of Ristocky Burn. It is 8m downstream of the intersection of the prominent turf bank head dyke of Feature 184 (above) and the burn. This bridge would have been used when only a footpath/small track existed this far up the valley until the 1950s, when the well-constructed existing access track downhill and to the E was formed. <1>
