Full Description
Hut Circle.
Centre of well-denuded hut circle on a prominent knoll, set high above the W bank of Ristocky Burn on heather and grass-covered, moderately S-sloping hillside. The area around and including the hut circle itself has been recently burned, which aids in its identification. Stones are visible protruding through the peat turf walls, especially on the prominent, downhill S side. The walls survive to 0.8m high for a 2m length on its E side, but generally form a 2-3m wide circular ridge, rising only to 0.4m high for the rest of the outline. Its internal diameter is 6m and its entrance opens to 156 degrees and clearance cairns of Features 192 to 194 (below) are visible on the slopes below to the S. <1>
