Full Description

Enclosure (angular).
NW corner of old rectangular enclosure (?sheepfold) set on a burnt heather-stubble, S-dipping 3 degrees slope, with the N longside trending 072 degrees from this point, parallel to the contours. The enclosure measures 10m x 8m and the stone walls survive to 0.5m high and are up to 1m thick, where tumbled on its W side. The walls are perfectly straight-sided elsewhere, and the lower, S wall acts partly as a retaining wall to the interior of the enclosure.

Adapted into the existing walls of the SE corner, a later deer-stalking ‘hide’, measuring 2.5m x 2.5m, with walls only 0.5m high and 0.5m wide, has been built into the interior of the enclosure. <1>
