Full Description

Grouse Butt.
This U-shaped grouse butt is also at an early stage of collapse at its open-ended, lower sidewalls, and measures 2.5m across and 3m deep. The leading edge peat wall still survives to 1m and is topped with long tufted grass, and all of the walls are up to 0.6m thick, with an entrance opening to 134 degrees. <1>
