Full Description

Fabrice Fibre Optic cable trench cut through the dunes at the estimated grid ref. At a depth of 9-10 feet it cut through a building apparently end on. No structures were identified, but solid stratified floor levels were cut. Identified by P Haumphreys 26/06/2003 who took samples. Also collected substantial bone remains of rear of short legged bull?, but relationship to structure not clear. From lack of finds possibly this dates to an aceramic phase. Viit by HAW 1/7/2003 when trench already infilled, finds within dunes included possible shell waste and more pieces of the floor deposits. HAW 7/2003
