NH72NE 17 from 7999 2944 to 7974 2999. MR 2 (formerly Lin 501 [part of]).
Having followed the former A9, now an unclassified road, as far as the drive to Tomatin House at NH 798 296, a short stretch is visible beside a field wall. This well-defined section follows a straight course E, heading for the A9, and then disappears near the Allt-na-Frithe.
W Taylor 1976; J and A Baker 1982.
From the Porters Lodge at the entrance to the grounds of Tomatin House, Wade's road heads N through a field under pasture and then disappears in the vicinity of the A9. The route appears to run along the top of a stone dyke as a grass-covered track, both track and stonework being severely eroded and falling into disrepair.
M Logie (Highland Council) 1997; NMRS MS 1007/2.
