Full Description

The 1st edition Ordnance Survey map depicts two roofed rectilinear buildings with associated structures and enclosures and a track here on the west-facing slopes of Scotstown. Current OS mapping shows the two main structures (one with a lean-to extension), a garden enclosure, and smaller unroofed structures.

A planning application (LO-03-284) to demolish the byre and replace it with a new-build house, and to upgrade the former croft building, required the provision of a Photographic Record. A number of photographs were taken of the structures and the general area prior to the start of the development. The photographs (taken by Mr & Mrs Ford) are held on CD in Assoc. Docs.
