Full Description

This trap is not close to any identifiable settlement, being located at the foot of a steep cliff, from which a good view of it can be obtained. In spite of its semicircular appearance, it is composed of a mixture of curved and straight sections. The upper part of the western side was hard to trace as the top of the beach is covered with boulders. The top of the wall is visible, though weed obscures its base. In places the wall stands four courses high.

At the most acute angle is what may be a narrow gap with diagonal sides, creating a small funnel. But the tumble of boulders makes this impossible to verify, and further investigation is planned.
Information supplied by Sound of Mull Survey - P Martin.
