Full Description

NH52SE 5 5751 2434 AND 5755 2438.

At NH 5751 2434 and NH 5755 2438, on a NE facing slope, are two heather-covered stony mounds (A and B respectively)
'A' is 10.5m in diameter and 0.7m high with an upright block, 0.6m high, on its SE margin.
'B' measures 7.5m NE-SW by 7.0m transversely and 0.3m high. On its SE side are three set stones, which may be the remains of a kerb.
Judging by their size, regular profile and position, these mounds are possibly cairns. They lie on the NE fringe of an area of stone clearance heaps (See NH 52 SE 4)
Cairns surveyed at 6" scale.
Visited by OS (N K B) 10 Feburary 1970

(A: NH 5751 2434 & B: NH 5755 2438) Cairns (NR)

No change to previous field report except that only one stone can now be seen in the SE arc of Cairn 'B'.
