A 'Sleeper' built house. Site photographed by A Wakeling. The Highland Archaeology Challenge. 10/2003.

Cottage constructed of railway sleepers. Sleeper buildings must date after the introduction of the railway in the area (1863). A number survive in the Badenoch and Strathspey area.
