Full Description

The exact location of the stone needs to be established.

The 'Lurg Stone' was erected in 1865 and bears the following inscription. " Erected at the request of the late William Grant Slock for the manifestation of the divine power in dividing this water and causing a passage whereby the reminas of a certain woman were carried over on dry land". About two years after its erection the stone was broken and cast into the river, where the fragments can still be seen when the water is low.
