Full Description

A shelter or 'packman's bivvy' used by travellers in the Moidart area in the past. The wares they sold were usually article of haberdashery, which were slung over the shoulder in a pack or bundled together in a handkerchief. A crude drystone wall about 2 ft 6 inches high built out from the cave-wall to form a protective screen across part of the mouth of the cave.
