On a south-facing slope are two possible hut circles discovered during field investigation.
Visited by OS (E G C) 15 May 1961.
There are two well-preserved hut circles situated on the slope of Leathad an Daraich. The eastmost hut (Site Ref 24) is illustrated. Information from MS, A Field Survey in the Loch Rimsdale Area, June 1975, sire refs 23 and 24 (see archive).
The two huts (A and B) are of similar construction and appearance, both having been scooped slightly into the slope. They measure 12.5m N-S by 11.5m and 13.0m SE-NW by 11.0m respectively within walls 0.5m high and spread to 2.5m widening to 3.5m at the entrances which are in the south and south-east arcs. Sporadic clearance heaps around hut 'B' are the only traces of contemporary cultivation in the immediate vicinity. Revised at 1/10,000.
Visited by OS (J B) 6 April 1977.
