Full Description
Believed the croft remains were buried under topsoil brought in from elsewhere. The remains are in a field which is owned by Mr Philip Anderson.
As well as the buildings on the 1st ed OS there is a well which is marked. This well still exists in the woodland 36m north of the bend in the fence and 13m in from the fence. It is surrounded by spruce planted in 1961 and the area was subject to severe rabbit digging ten years ago. The well has become partially filled in and the walls are not very stable because they are made from angular stones. Diameter 0.8m and 0.7m deep on low side and 1.4m on high side (in a steep bank with large spruce right on edge on upper side). Water has been seen on the bottom (once). There are some wooden posts and wire netting over the hole to reduce the risk of someone falling in.
