Full Description

A linear arrangement of four roofed buildings is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Island of Skye 1880, sheet vi). A further roofed building lies to the west. Associated tracks and enclosures are shown and the area is annotated 'Lon Beara Clachan'. Current Landmark mapping shows six ruinous structures and enclosures. This is a component of Totescore crofting township (NG36NE0019). (KC 08/2004)

A photographic survey of the ruins of one of the buildings was carried out in 2009 as a condition of a planning application for the renovation of the ruin to form a house. <1>
