These subrectangular shieling huts are situated in the upper reaches of the Allt Mor and lie on the gently-sloping ground between the steeply-incised gullies that feed the burn. Five of the structures, and a possible sixth (NH 7151 0349), lie to the E of a gully, while another (KING95 538) is levelled into the heather-covered W side of the gully. Four of the huts (KING95 533-4, 537-8) measure from 2.2m by 1.7m to 4.1m by 2m internally; the other two are larger, measuring 6.6m by 2.4m (KING95 536) and 7.1m by 2.1m (KING95 535) internally. The footings of four of the huts (KING95 534-7) are entirely of turf, while the other two (KING95 533, 538) are of faced-rubble. Grass-grown middens lie outside the entrances of three of the huts (KING95 533, 535, 537). One of the huts (KING95 534) overlies the remains of an earlier structure.
There is a general correspondence between the location of structures shown on a map of 1771 (SRO RHP 1835) and the huts described above, although the map shows further structures to the E which were not located on the date of visit.
