This township lies on a relatively narrow terrace above the line of the 19th century road from Newtonmore to Kingussie. The remains comprise fourteen buildings, one hut, a corn-drying kiln, and a lime kiln (see also burial cairn NH70SW 42).
The buildings range from 11.8m to 4.7m in length by 3.6m to 2.6m in breadth within stone walls up to 0.9m in thickness and 0.4m in height. Entrances, where they are visible, are in the sides. The corn-drying kiln (KING95, 793) is accompanied by a barn. The lime kiln (KING95, 807) is set into a natural slope and the flue is 1.5m broad.
